Dearly beloved subscribers to my blog,
Please accept my apologies for the lack of a post in recent days. I have been having a spot of internet connectivity related bother. Hope to be back in (or rather just in) the swing presently.
You will no doubt be pleased to learn that, for the Christmas period, I have listed my paintings on ebay at just £30.
Like Father Christmas, I will accept payment in alcohol (and possibly mince pies and carrots, but not straw).

Daily Painting: The Fall
The Fall
Oil on boad, 15 x 20 cm, £67.50
I often dream I’m falling. Everybody does. A fall can be a transformation, or an all-too-swift escape. The unknown is both behind and in front of you.

Daily Painting: Britannia Rule the Waves
Britannia Rule the Waves
Oil on boad, 15 x 21 cm, £67.50
The flag carries listlessly through the fog. It’s a stoic, fragile, pathetic image, eerie, silent, speaking both of the past and the future.

Daily Painting: Seascape (Silence)
Seascape (Silence)
Oil on boad, 15 x 21 cm, £67.50
The sea gives an infinite multitude of colours. On a calm, foggy day, it’s at its most simple and mysterious.

Daily Painting: Ghost Ship
Ghost Ship
Oil on boad, 15 x 20 cm, £67.50
A still life with skull and beer
bottle in a landscape of sand and sea. The seashore in harsh sunlight brings to
me a feeling of infinity, ineffable mystery and the ends of existence,
prehistory and the distant future.
The bottle is Adnams’ Ghost Ship. It’s very good: try
it.

Daily Painting: Indian Summer
Indian Summer
Oil on boad, 15 x 20 cm, £67.50
The summer came late this year. Nobody knew
where it had been and neither did they care. The temperature reached 30C, the
sea was crystal blue and the beaches became a luxuriant human landscape of
indolent flesh.
